Return of the Sentinel: A Video

I bought a Flip camcorder in order to show some of my steampunk leatherwork better. Here is my first video, with myself portraying an old warrior who has been called back to service, as a way to show the Sentinel helm, gas mask and gorget in more detail. It is filmed in HD. Please let me know what you think.

Return of the Sentinel video

  1. I liked the video, Tom. It gives more life to your pieces when we get to see them in video. I liked how you summoned your assistant with a gallant wave of the hand! :)

The atmosphere was rich, luxurious, nearly regal, but I do have one small criticism; your shirt. It seemed very out of place with the scene. I was thinking that you should have been in something like a plain white cotton frock, perhaps with some frilly cuffs or the like. Anyway, that's minor. It's fun to think of how you use your work beyond the creation itself. Expanding out to express yourself in other creative ways must be rewarding. Thanks for sharing this with your internet friends.

  2. Thanks for the feedback, Craig. Another online friend was critical of the shirt, and I understand. Guess I'll have to be more careful next time!

  3. I admit, the shirt stood out to me too.

I also think you should have had a snifter of brandy and a cigar, but that's just personal preference ;-)
